Who is Jesus Christ?
That is the most important question that has been asked in the history of the world.
So who is Jesus?
1. Jesus Is God
Jesus said that he is God. John 10:30-33 " 'I and the Father are one.' Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, 'I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?' 'We are not stoning you for any of these,' replied the Jews, 'but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.' "
John 14:8-9 declares it as well when it tells us of Jesus’ interaction with one of his followers named Philip. It says, "Philip said, 'Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.' Jesus answered: 'Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?' "
Jesus also accepted worship as God. Matthew 14:33 says, "Then those who were in the boat worshiped him Jesus, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." We also see a similar thing in John 9:38… "Then the man said, 'Lord Jesus, I believe,' and he worshiped him."
2. Jesus Forgives Sin
Since He was God He has the right to forgive sins. We all have sinned and Jesus alone forgives sin. We see this in Mark 2:5, “When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’ ”
Just liked Jesus forgave that man in Mark 2, He looks at you and says, “Your sins are forgiven.” In Psalm 51:4, we read, “Against you only, Lord God, have I sinned.” He wants to forgive you of your sin and give a life that is over-flowing joy.
3. Jesus Is the Only Way to Heaven
Jesus said He is the only way to heaven. John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
Just before he brought Lazarus back from the dead, Jesus told Lazarus’ sister Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies” (John 11:25).
4. Jesus Came Back From The Death
Jesus said that he would resurrect from death. In Mark 8:31, “Jesus began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again.”
Jesus Christ rose from the dead and history has never been the same.

There’s far much more to say about Jesus than can fit on this page. We’d love for you to check out our church, not because we have all the answers, but because we love Jesus and want you to know who He is and what He has done in our lives.
In the mean time, we encourage you to learn more about Jesus by reading the Bible for yourself. Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John are all great places to start. Read the Bible online, or we’d love to give you a Bible. Pick one up at the Welcome Center this Sunday.
